Perfection Completes HydroLab’s Intensive Training Course!
On the week of January 14th – 18th, Perfection participated in an intensive, IICRC-accredited water damage training course via Hydro-Lab. Dundee Mitigation Manager Luis Landeros and Freeport Mitigation Superintendent Mitch Heitman completed the 5-day commercial drying workshop at Hydro-Lab’s state-of-the-art facility in Cicero, Indiana. While on-site for the full week of continued training, both Luis and Mitch finished the week as experts in drying commercial buildings and facilities.
A wide range of topics covered throughout the comprehensive course included:
- OSHA compliance,
- Thermal dynamics,
- Understanding how commercial and industrial properties are built (versus residential homes),
- The difference between dew points and vapor pressure
Additionally, they participated in several hands-on workshops throughout the week – Including specialty drying lessons that detailed mitigating multiple layer walls, elevator shafts, high-end tile with multiple layers and fire walls. With thorough experience in drying both residential and commercial properties of all sizes and types, the Hydro-Lab course served as both a refresher as well as important continuing investment in our team.
At Perfection, we pride ourselves at being on the cusp of all water damage industry developments and technology. Our team was very grateful for the opportunity to learn at Indiana’s Hydro-Lab and we look forward to applying this knowledge in the field, for our customers and clients.
